Chinmaya Vidyalaya Model United Nations was organized in the school premises on September 21st, 24th and 25th. 80 participants from classes 9, 10, 11 & 12 became delegates who represented 22 countries. There were 4 committees of United Nations: - DISEC, UNHRC, UNEP and UNSC. It was inaugurated by the General Secretary -Thomas Babychan of class XII D. During the closing ceremony The City Police Commissioner of Thrissur- Sri. Yathish Chandra GH IPS, was the Chief Guest. He had an interactive session with the delegates. The best delegates were honored with trophies and certificates. The vision of CVMUN was to help our students to think beyond their limits and help them develop their diplomatic and speaking skills. The motive of CVMUN was to: Imagine, Innovate, and Inspire.
Member of Parliament Shri. Suresh Gopi who is also a popular and versatile actor inaugurated the 40th Annual Day Celebrations on the 9th Feb 2019 and addressed the audience. H.H. Swami Viviktananda Saraswathi, Regional Head, Chinmaya Mission, Kerala exhorted the audience to imbibe the principles enshrined in the Chinmaya Vision Programme, through his presidential address. This was followed by an explosion of talents in the form of 'Kaladarshika' where students right from Pre-KG to Std XII were given a platform to exhibit their inherent potentials in music, dance, drama, comedy etc., individually and in large and small groups. It was indeed an audio visual treat leaving the audience wanting for more The Ruby Jubilee Celebrations culminated with the grand finale on 8th and 9th Feb 2019. A visual treat of the folk Arts of Kerala was arranged in the Vidyalaya for the students
The same evening a cultural fiesta was inaugurated by Smt. KPAC Lalitha, Chairperson of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy in the presence of our Acharya H.H.Swami Gabheeranandaji. The teachers, alumni and parents showcased their talents and creativity through solo and group performances enthralling the audience.
Chinmaya Vidyalaya Thrissur inaugurated the observance of its Ruby jubilee Year (40th Year ) on 30th July 2018 . It was an occasion to both commemorate and cherish those experiences that allowed us to grow and to go beyond all expectations. The function began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by H.H Swami Viviktananda Saraswathi, Regional Head â€“Chinmaya Mission Kerala State. The inaugural address by the Chief Guest Sri Jayarajan Rajasekharan Nair, a National award winning film director. It was rightly decided to begin the programmes connected with the Ruby jubilee by honouring four eminent and erudite GURU's in various fields through "GURUVANDANAM". We hope their blessing and guidance will help us scale greater heights in the years to come.
Chinmaya Vidyalaya can boast of an addition to its list of innovations. We have introduced a monthly newsletter 'Chinmaya Vani' encapsulating the activities of the Vidyalaya along with the creative contribution of the students. These news letters were compiled and created by the Fine Arts Vice Captains. It was released in a solemn function.
Co A lecture cum demonstration of Bengali folk â€“ Purulia Chhau was held by renowned Artiste Shri Tarapada Rajak and team in our Vidyalaya premises under the aegies of SPICMACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth). Around 500 students were exposed to this programme much to their awe and delight
Sri MujeebRahman LLB LLM (IP) sub judge Thrissur secretary DLSA, addressed the students of class XI on the topic :"Cyber Crime" on 22nd January 2018. The talk was very informative, punctuated with real life incidents, happening in our state.
Our Principal inaugurated a book fair by Scholastic on 29th and 30th January 2018. A large number of books were exhibited in the fair.
The 39th Annual day was celeberated on 14th February 2018. The chief guest of the day was Dr V VUnnikrishnan Dean, University of Health Science. Our Vice Principal welcomed the gathering. Our Principal presented the Annual report followed by the inaugural address by the Chief Guest. Our Director G Mukundanhonoured retiring Principal SmtShobhanaDevadas on this august occasion. SmtNirmalaHaridas teacher of Commerce Departmentwas also honoured on her retirement from service. The Head boy and Head Girl shared their reminiscences. The formal programme came to an end with the vote of thanks by our Headmistress. It was followed by a cultural fiesta by the students which was well appreciated by the well-wishers for the maximum participation and grandeur.
Magician, Escapologist, motivational spearker Sri Gopinath Muthukad, addressed the students of the Vidyalaya on 9th November 2017. Through different anecdotes and life changing experiences Sri Muthukad mesmerized the audience with various magic tricks. He made the children to take a pledge not to use drugs, alcohols and other intoxicants..
Talent time 2017 was formally inaugurated on 28th July 2017. The highlight was a tabala performance by the Alumna, Akhila S Kumar of 2017 batch.
Nursery to Tenth standard Students of the Vidyalaya have taken Rubella Measles Vaccination. The campaign was organized by the Local Health center as part of Rubella Measles Vaccination campaign conducted by Govt of India.
