ACHIEVEMENTS

Amritha Channel has organized 'Shresta Bharatham ' competition on 25.08.19 at Chithranjali Studio, Trivandrum. Some of our students participated in various competitions and our school has secured 3 rd position. It is a noticeable achievement for our Vidyalaya.

The state finale of Infinitum Quiz 2019 conducted by NIT Calicut was held at their campus on 15th September. Anirudh S Menon & Devaduth Mullapally (XII A) bagged the 1st prize in the state. They received certificates, memento and a cash prize of Rs 25000.

Vidyalaya students participated in the Thrissur District Athletic Meet conducted at Thope Stadium on 18 to 21st September. 37 students from our Vidyalaya participated in different categories.

Sahodaya Basketball tournament was held at Holy cross Senior Secondary School Arthat Kunnamkulam on 20th September 2019. Vidyalaya team secured second runner up trophy.
Cluster basketball tournament was held in Mary Giri public school Kannur from 16 October 2019 to 19th October we represented three categories in that tournament they are under 19 boys and girls and under 17 boys. We secured second runners-up position in under 19 girls.

Devananda S Jain of Std 8 was gifted with a cash award of 25,000/- by the postal department for winning the Letter writing competition. Asst Supt of post Thrissur division Sri Sunil give away the prize money to the student.

In CBSE Class XII Examination held in the month of March 2019. Out of 171 students 54 achieved an aggregate of 90% in all subjects and 133 got distinction. 12 students received A1 in all subjects.

In CBSE Class X Examination held in the month of March2019 . Out of 151 students 55achieved an aggregate of 90% in all subjects and 99got distinction. 11 students received A1 in all subjects.

• Department of Science and Technology Government of India awarded scholarship for higher education to the students within the top one percent at the Class XII exam. Two of our students were eligible for the same in Physics and Chemistry. 12 students also received the 0.1 certificate for AISSCE Examination in Malayalam. Students received medals & Certificates for coming in the top 0.1 percent at National level in AISSE Examination also- 5 students in science and 2 each in Sanskrit and Malayalam.
• Kerala Government Medical Officers Association (KGMOA) conducted the state Finale of 'Amritha Kiranam – Medi IQ' on Sunday 27th January 2019 at Trivandrum. Thrissur District was represented by two of our students and they bagged the First Place in the competition bringing glory to the institution along with a cash prize of Rs 10,000/- for the team.
• Our student of class VI was selected for the state level of the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan Examination (VVM) conducted by Vigyan Prasad in association with NCERT and bagged the 7th prize at the state level.
• The abstract about smart wallet of one of our class IX student Krishna Rajesh has been selected as a suitable project for the Inspire award conducted by the Department of Science & Technology Department, Govt of India. She has been awarded Rs 10000/- to continue her project.
• Our school team of two class 7 students bagged the 2nd prize at the district level competition conducted by Kerala Sahodaya Complex. Students also won cash prizes and certificates in various other quizzes conducted by various organisations like Sopanam Charitable Trust, Cooperative School etc.
• Students also took part in the scholarship examination conducted by the National Public Grievance and Redressal Commision (NPGRC)
• In keeping with our policy of Learning by Doing' commerce students of class XII were taken to "Crona Plastics" where they saw first hand how raw materials were converted into plastic household items. They were also shown how to differentiate between different types of plastics and also to classify plastics according to their quality. It was a unique and informative experience for the students

In connection with her Ruby Jubilee celebrations Chinmaya Vidyalaya in association with Rotary Club Kunnamkulam conducted an Inter School quiz competition 'Qureka- 2018' on 22nd November 2018. Nearly a hundred students from CBSE, ICSE and state schools participated in the competition which was held in the Vidyalaya Auditorium. Dr K R Dayas Special Officer for setting up Vigyan Sagar in Thrissur was the Chief Guest.

• Our school team won the second prize at the Science Exhibition organized at the Government Model Engineering College Kochi. The topic was waste management and this only emphasis the fact that we at Chinmaya Vidyalaya Thrissur have taken great pains and introduced innovative ideas to create wealth from waste.
• Another chance to experience our great master H. H Swami Chinmayanandaji was when the students participated in the interschool Extempore Competition –'Mayookhasree' Through the competition students familiarize themselves with Gurudev's quotes and oratorical skills which are true management course of study for the younger generations. Gayathri Menon of our Vidyalaya was adjudged as the best speaker and received the rolling trophy.
• Chinmaya Vidyalaya Thrissur achieved the Runner up position from among 41 in the Sahodaya Football Tournament conducted in the month of December
